    Please join us as Dr. Steve Allison discusses the Functional Job Analysis. This will be a very interactive webinar that you will enjoy.
    Dr. Allison is encouraging questions to be sent AHEAD of the webinar as well as during the Webinar. If you will not be able to view the live presentation and ask questions in real-time, he will still discuss any questions you have during the presentation for your review on the taped edition that will be available on the IARP website.     This presentation will discuss best practices in functional job analysis (FJA) for return to work. The presenter will review two case studies to model FJA in practice. Additionally, he will explain the application of the new ORS duration and strength definitions during an FJA. Participants will be provided the opportunity to ask questions during the live webinar as it relates to functional job analysis.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES

    1. Identify common issues in functional job descriptions that can result in questions regarding job match and delayed return to work.
    2. Apply new ORS duration and strength definitions when conducting and writing a functional job analysis.
    3. Apply new AOPT/OHSIG frequency definitions when conducting and writing a functional job analysis.
    4. Discuss key factors for delineating between essential versus marginal job functions.

    • Steve Allison, PT, DPT, CME

      Dr. Allison is a doctor of physical therapy and he serves as CEO of Functional Capacity Experts, LLC in Bossier City, Louisiana. He is a certified DOT medical examiner for the FMCSA, and a certified occupational health practitioner under the Academy of Orthopedic Physical Therapy . He has been licensed to practice physical therapy for 30 years. He has focused his practice to the sub-specialty areas of functional capacity evaluations, disability case consulting, functional job analysis and employment exams, and functional test validation testing.

      Dr. Allison served as the lead author of the FCE best practices guideline adopted by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in April 2018. He has also authored and/or contributed to other articles and monographs related to FCE, job analysis, medical fitness for duty, and a clinical practice guideline for work rehabilitation. He has served as an expert consultant to the EEOC in disability discrimination cases, and he has been recognized in various federal courts and district courts in Louisiana as an expert in FCEs, job analysis, functional test validation, and orthopedic physical therapy.

    Hey Nick , we should discuss this . I have meeting this day , but if you can do it it's useful . If not maybe we can record it , or order a book or info from the presenter .
    Mostly useful for JA's but it can help with Exoert reports too .
