Penn-Ohio Members:

Four of our Chapter members attended the recent SVOHNA of PA annual conference at the Kalahari Resort.  The Conference consisted of two days of informative and engaging presentations on the physical, mental/emotional, social, and technological aspects of work and processes and techniques to promote recovery from illnesses and injuries.  A total-person perspective was at the center of prevention and recovery.  Advocacy and AI, as they relate to professional ethics and client-centered engagement/services were also discussed.  Our Chapter hosted a networking event after the first day of the conference, where nearly all of the attendees and vendors attended.  We had the opportunity to share the benefits of IARP/Penn-Ohio Chapter while enjoying good food and beverages.  

Our hope is to have more opportunities to either host conferences or collaborate with affiliate organizations, similar to what we have done with SVOHNA of PA on two occasions.  We will be exploring opportunities in Ohio over the next several months.  Please share any ideas with me or our Board members.
