Dr. Sánchez has over 15 years of clinical, teaching, and research experience. She utilizes the biopsychosocial framework for diagnosis, conceptualization, and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults with neuropsychiatric disabilities, such as neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., intellectual developmental disorder [IDD], autism spectrum disorder [ASD]), mental illnesses (e.g., schizophrenia, posttraumatic stress disorder [PTSD]), SUDs (e.g., alcohol use disorder [AUD], OUD), and neurocognitive disorders (e.g., traumatic brain injury [TBI], Alzheimer's disease [AD]), including co-occurring disabilities. Her varied forensic and civil work settings span inpatient psychiatric facilities, Veterans Administration (VA), state hospitals and agencies, K-12 schools and postsecondary/higher education, community mental health centers, and homeless shelters and transitional housing.
