Kathy Jackson Smith completed an undergraduate degree in psychology from Delta State University in 1996. She then obtained a master's degree in vocational rehabilitation counseling in 1999. Kathy became certified as a rehabilitation counselor (CRC) and went on to obtain certification as a life care planner (CLCP).
After completing a master's degree, Kathy began working for Rehabilitation, Inc in Brandon, Mississippi and was employed with the company approximately 12 years. In 2011, she founded Occupational Consulting, LLC.
As the owner/operator of Occupational Consulting, Kathy routinely handles life care plans involving catostrophic injuries, as well as worker's compensation case management, and liability claims. She has been accepted in to worker's compensation, state, and federal courts as an expert witness.
