Dear IARP-Illinois members,
The IARP-Illinois Lifetime Achievement Award was given out at our education conference in 2015 and 2016. Nominations are being sought for the 2017 award. Your recommendations for the 2017 award are respectfully requested.
The award process involves the following elements:
- call for nominations-citing qualifications
- review of nominations/qualifications by the Award Committee
- presentation of nominee(s) to the IARP-Illinois Board at an upcoming monthly
meeting for discussion, and if indicated, vote.
- After IARP-IL Board approval the nominee will be notified
- If accepted, announcement of the 2017 award recipient will be made to the
Illinois membership and presented at the September 14, 2017 conference.
Generally the nominee should be retired or semi-retired so as to allow for a review of their body of work. Contributions made to the advancement of private vocational rehabilitation services in the State of Illinois are valued and can take the form of: excellence in case work, leadership/organizational activities, education, training, industry advancing testimony, research, or any combination of these elements.
Those offering nominations are requested to cite the contributions made to the field. Specifics would be greatly appreciated. A curriculum vita or resume of the nominee could be helpful. Please forward the information via e-mail, fax, or regular Unites States mail by June 1, 2017.
Thank you for your help.
Mike
