  • 1.  Studies about getting employment with an obvious impairment

    Can anyone point me to a study that addresses employers' likelihood of hiring someone with an obvious impairment (e.g., missing digits on a hand)? I know there are jobs for one-handed workers; however, I'm looking for studies that show employers' reactions and potentially decreased likelihood of getting hired.

    You might reach out to Dr. Irmo Marini at Univ of Texas-Pan American.

    His students do a lot of research and this would be right up their alley.....

    I am otherwise not aware of such research.  Hopefully someone else in the group may
