Hello all. I hope I'm not the only one working this weekend :). Any way, I'm working on a rebuttal report for a LTD case. The person worked as a Clinical Simulation and Educational Research Associate for teaching hospital. He facilitated training programs for medical students, nurses, staff using cadavers, machines, etc. He would set up surgical simulations using cadavers, machines, etc. The job description required a nursing background, but he is a retired fireman and with that background, he got the job.
The defense vocational expert said he worked as a Simulation Operations Specialist (355.674-004). The voc expert listed the job description, but I cannot find the DOT on OASYS. This is part of the job description because it's lengthly: Works closely with and assists faculty, staff, and other simulation facilitators to provide ongoing support for medical simulations and other training. Set up and take down the scenes to simulate a health care setting. Applying moulage mannequins to approximate signs and symptoms of disease and injury, creating simulated medications. Programs the simulator software to match it to and control all anticipated and desired physiologic changes and responses requested by instructor.
The other job code she listed was Training and Development Specialist DOT 166-227-010. I was able to find that job description and it did match some of the job duties the worker did while on the job. It's the Simulation Operations Specialist, is most closely related but I don't know if the expert wrote down the wrong code or what. I'm at a loss. Thank you in advanced
