I recently finished reports on a Family Physician and a Cardiologist. Here is a buffet of options on salaries. Or, top  11!
    1. ERi  economic research institute
    2. Merritt Hawkins
3.BLS but limits wage to just over $200k
    4.HealthGrades
5.MGMA -Pinnacle Health Group, Physician Compensation reports.
6.AAMC but costs $1.050 for use! If the doctor is a member$45.00.
    7. MEDAXIOM, an ACC Company.
    8. Jackson Physicians Search
    9. Sullivan Cotter
    10. Medical Group Mgt.
    11. Medicos Firm
    ---/-----
    * AAMC  is the most detailed and comprehensive by each sub specialty.

    Also:

    Physician Compensation Report 2022 (medscape.com)

    Doximity 2021 Physician Compensation Report

Merritt Hawkin did a really groovy compilation of tons of surveys by specialty in 2018 but I don't see it being updated

The BLS artificially caps highly compensated occupations at $208,000 and over ($100 per hour x 2080 hours per year FT= $208,000). So, throwing that 208K in the mix of myriad and doing any sort of overall averaging with others tends to mislead, bending outcome down IMO

    Hi,

Does anyone know if any of the references listed offer information specifically on physicians who primarily practice telemedicine? I also wonder if they break down the information by hourly/annual salaries or if they note payment is made per patient "seen" or in 15-minute increments like in-person medical professionals bill. I see the info on Indeed and ZipRecruiter, but I'd like to know if there is info on the sites that require payment before I pay for it.

    Thanks!

    Tricia,

To my knowledge, the data from the various physician wage sources have not broken down to telehealth only.  I did a case earlier this year and did not find this broken out.  MGMA and others appear to have the on their radar.

When I have seen physicians via telehealth, it appears that I/my insurance has been billed the same as if I have seen them in person. So I am "guessing" they are being paid the same. But "guessing" is, of course, not considered "a reasonable degree of vocational certainty!"
Or maybe it is...as per some voc reports I've read.
And now I'm going to shut up and get back to my own work.

I thought the same about the billing, Cynthia. I was trying to anticipate questions I might get, and I might be overthinking it. Thanks!
