Did you know that Maine shares a border with two Canadian provinces but just one state? Whether you are stateside or north of the border, it's easy to get here. There are 24 border crossing stations between Maine and Canada, and Interstate 95 (you know, that big one) goes from one end of the state to the other and right to Portland. Come by plane, train, or automobile, but don't miss IARP Northeast's Fall Conference on September 19th and 20th in Portland, Maine. See schedule and register at this link: https://rehabpro.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1861304&group=

Great news about CEUs for the conference -

    • CRC has approved a total of 9 CEUs for the conference with half (4.5) for Ethics credit and the other half General
    • ABVE has approved 9 contact hours
    • For our Canadian colleagues - CVRP CEUs are pending and we anticipate notification about those very soon.
    • We've also applied for CEU credits for CLCP, CDMS, and CCM

Wondering about some of the things you'll gain from attending? Here are some snippets about a couple of our speakers.

    • Scott Krug, of New England Low Vision and Blindness in Worcester, MA, will share about and show all kinds of assistive technology to assist clients who are blind or visually impaired to function in work or other environments. We all know how challenging RTW can be for individual's with vision loss, so this may be just the information you need for some of those cases.
    • Dr. Matt Barney's nearly three decades of experience as an Industrial and Organizational Psychologist includes in-depth and first hand knowledge and use of Artificial Intelligence for practical applications including psychometrics, measuring work-related concepts, training, and coaching experts. He knows and understands job requirements (his first of many patents was for a system to analyze job and work requirements), work behaviors, labor markets, and so many other subjects familiar to most of us. His presentation will help us gain a better understanding of ways we can use AI in our own work in practical and ethical ways.

And if those aren't reasons enough to convince you to attend, there will be prize drawings at the end of the conference with the grand prize being ONE YEAR'S PAID MEMBERSHIP TO IARP!

So go ahead and register today. Can't wait to see you in September!
