If you've always wanted to visit Maine, here's a great opportunity to combine business with pleasure. The Northeast chapter has an exciting conference planned for September 19th and 20th in Portland, Maine, and early-bird registration ends in just a few days. Continuing education credits are pending for CRC, ABVE, CLCP, CDMS, and CCM. Some great speakers will cover informative and practical topics that nearly all of us can use in our on-going practices, and there will be plenty of opportunity to network and socialize with your colleagues. Here's the event page with registration and accommodation links: https://rehabpro.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1861304&group=
All paid early-bird registrants will be entered into a raffle for one night's hotel stay at the conference hotel.
Students enrolled in a Rehabilitation Counseling program can register for free. If you teach in one of the programs or know students in these programs, this is a great way for up and coming members of our profession to broaden their knowledge of opportunities available to them after they complete their traning.
If you want to explore ways to get to Portland besides driving, there is an Amtrak train from Boston to Portland (Home - Amtrak Downeaster ) and flights between many locations (https://portlandjetport.org/)
Maine is called Vacationland or The Way Life Should Be, so consider bringing family or friends and seeing a little more of Portland or other parts of Maine. You know you want to, so take a look at some of the links below. Hope to see you in September!
