I currently have a Rehabilitation Counselor Internship with the Chicago Lighthouse, however I work for the State of IL and they are not allowing me to take time off from work to complete my internship even though I am part of the Upward Mobility Program that is run through the State. If I want to take time off I have to use my own time and I don't have enough time to use in order to get my 600 hours needed to complete my internship. the Lighthouse tried to help with a solution to work at the UIC Tollway Center but that did not work out due to protocol's that the Tollway has and the Lighthouse does not have any evening or weekend hours. If anyone knows of any type of Rehabilitation Counseling internships that will allow evening and weekend hours can you please let me know. Thank you.
