Bio

I have been a Rehabilitation Case manager and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor since obtaining a graduate degree in Vocational Rehabilitation in 1976. My active caseload consists of catastrophic case management referrals for long term and poly-trauma, injury, amputation, spinal cord, and chronic pain patients. I began my work in forensics as an Expert Witness in 1981 and have since testified in multiple jurisdictions inclusive of Industrial Accident Boards in PA, NJ & DE, Superior Courts in NJ & DE, Binding Arbitrations, the Circuit Ct. of Baltimore & of MD, Court of Common Pleas (PA), Family Ct. (DE & NJ), AOLJ cases, Uninsured Motorist Arbitration (PA), the US District Cts. of MD and DE, and the US Department of Justice September 11 Victims’ Compensation Fund. I am qualified as an Expert Witness in areas of Loss of Earning Capacity and Loss of Household Services.  For several years, I served as an adjunct professor at Wilmington (DE) University, teaching both in under grad and graduate courses in Intro. to Rehab. Counseling, Career Development, Med. & Psycho-social Aspects of Rehab, Job Placement, etc.

I am Licensed in NJ as a Rehabilitation Counselor (LRC), and have CRC and CDMS Certifications.  I have attained Boarded status as a Diplomate from the American Board of Vocational Experts. I also am a member of AREA where I am the 2021-23 President and hold a Forensic Vocational Expert (FVE) Certification from that organization. In the ACA, I belong to the NCDA division. In 1994-97, I served as President of Rehab. Counselors United, an organization that was successful in bringing Professional and Rehabilitation Counseling licenses to NJ. I have been a member of IARP since 1993 and served on the Forensic Board as Co-Chair, along with being President of the PA Chapter of NARPPS (now IARP) in 1997-00. I have also served in various capacities on the Forensic Board and Forensic Conference Committees, and regularly contribute to the Forensic Listserv. It was a tremendous honor & pleasure for me to organize IARP's first Day of Service in New Orleans prior to the Forensic Conference in November 2010, and to continue a related venture in matching seasoned IARP professionals with students for introductory mentoring of students in Puerto Rico at the 2012 and 2014 Annual Conferences. I have also made presentations at IARP (national and local venues) and AREA conferences. From 2014 to 2017, I was a founding member and one of the IARP representatives to the () Rehabilitation Counselor Coalition whose initiative and mission been to "speak in one voice" and in a united front as we ponder and attempt to shape the future of our profession.
