OK - I have never blogged before and I don't know if anyone will even read this, but I thought I'd give it a go. :)
Hi everybody! Have you all read about the new dues structure? I'm excited. When I first joined IARP, like the rest of you, I was limited to one section unless I wanted to pay more money. Since I had limited money, I choose the 1 section. But...since I was fairly new to the field, I wanted to be a member of the other sections so I could expand my knowledge base, networks and ultimately my practice. Oh well I thought, maybe one day.
That day has come! I can't wait to see what the sections are up to and what discussions are going on.
I've met so many people over the last few years and have learned so much. Now my knowledge base, as well as my friend base, will expand tremendously.
I know that the membership fee has increased a little bit, but I don't mind since I am getting access to so much more. And when I looked into my company records, I don't think the dues have increased in the 11 years I have been a member. I wonder how many of us have kept our fees for services at the same rate for the past 11 years. Ah-yeah....I don't anyone will say "I have".
Well, it's Friday and I am ready for the weekend. If you haven't checked out the new dues structure, don't wait. And if you know anyone that let their membership lapse, encourage them to give it another go. I know they won't be disappointed. There is just so much available.
